The Outreach Ministry is a very rewarding and fulfilling ministry that gives one a sense of satisfaction knowing that we are doing what thus said the Lord:
“Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world, Amen.” -- Matthew 28: 19-20
The goal of the Outreach Ministry (OM) is to “seek and save that which is lost” and follow the Great Commission of Jesus Christ. Outreach Ministry participants start each meeting with a scripture, a prayer and a study period before going about that day’s planned activities. They usually have a designated area of the city where ministry for that day is conducted. Its members knock on doors and greet people in the name of Jesus Christ. Also, members find out if their contact is saved and if he/she has a church home. If not, members invite them to come to New Sunlight. These servants also find out if the church can be of assistance to them in any way. Ministry participants visit church members in nursing homes and hospitals. New members are always welcome to be a part of this great ministry.
