Baptism and Right Hand of Fellowship
Newly converted members are baptized and extended the right hand of fellowship. Baptism is the immersing of a Christian in water to symbolize the end of an old way of living and a new start. Right hand of fellowship is a public formal welcoming of new members by the pastor.
The Preached Word
All age groups can relate to sermons preached. Sermons are clear, concise, encouraging, motivational, inspirational and spiritually powerful.
Loving
As a new member you will witness lots of love. Members of this Church Family strive to be the disciples Jesus desires us to be by being obedient to HIS word concerning love. Jesus says to us in John 13: 34-35, “A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” You will be embraced with the love of Jesus Christ by members whether you are inside or outside of God’s house.
Compassionate Christians
You will find a compassionate body of Christ here at New Sunlight. When you are hurting due to the loss of a loved one or have a misfortune, you will have our sympathy, sorrow and support. Jesus always had compassion for people so we must be likewise. We know when one member of the body of Christ is hurting the entire body experiences that same hurt.
Praising Congregation
We are a church body that give GOD the highest praise. When we look back over our lives and think about how we have been blessed and how God is blessing us right now, we have no other choice but to give God all praise. God’s word tells us in Psalms 150:6, “Let everything that hath breath praise the LORD.” As a new member we invite you to join us in giving God the praise He rightfully deserves.
