The Finance Board is charged with developing a yearly budget for the church. The nine elected board members along with 2 ex-officio officer (Trustee Board Chair and the Financial Secretary) becomes the steward, manager, and administrator of the church's finances. Stewardship defines our practical obedience in the administration of everything under our control, everything entrusted to us. The church is financed by tithes, offerings and gifts. As stewards of God we are managers of that which belongs to God and we are under his constant authority as we administers His affairs. The board meets quarterly and whenever the need arises to monitor the budget and make appropriate adjustments.
The point is in II Corinthians 9: 6-7 (KJV): “6) But this I say, ‘He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. 7) “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.”
