Each member of New Sunlight Baptist Church is assigned to be assisted by a deacon of the church. Several deacons work uniformly to form a Deacon Family Team Ministry which is assigned to members and are the direct contact to assisting in helping you meet your particular needs. The responsibilities of the Deacon Family Teams include:

Praying regularly for the members of their teams.
Following-up by contacting members regularly to establish a relationship.
Leadership

• • by directing members to serve God;
  • through rejoicing and grieving by sharing with
  • the members during their experiences of accomplishments and grief.
  • through friendship by listening to their concerns, and serving their needs.
  • through critical support by seeking to be aware of any crises the members may have and engage active support.
  • by answering questions and referral.
